Offor thumbs up NPFL board
By Vincent Akinbami
Niger Tornadoes match winner against Abia Warriors in week 21 Nigeria Premier League, Ikenna Offor has applauded the league board for improvement.
In an interview with www.sportsunlimited.ng, Offor said compared to previous seasons, the standard of the league has improved massively.
"Unlike what we had before where you are sure of winning at home, because they will manipulate a goal for you, this season has proven to be different. You must work hard if you want to win your home match and if you do well away, you can also pick points.
"We were almost picking a point in Katsina if not for the last minute mistake. Against Abia, the game was tough and we had to put in all our efforts to get the 3 points." Ikenna who played for Kwara United in the first round said he was happy scoring in his second match for Tornadoes because they all know how important the three point is to them . Ikenna, who was introduced in the second half of the match, said he was confident he would score when he came in.
" I saw the lapses while on the bench, my coach told me what to do when I go in, I played to instruction and thank God I was not wasteful," he said.
