The team is made up of thirty men; twenty players and ten officials, medicals and media personnel inclusive.
The Benin Arsenals who were aboard their official airline, Airpeace for forty two minutes settled down in Lafia, Nasarawa state to begin their final preparation for the big clash.
The Airpeace Flight P47171 took off at the Benin Airport at about 1:05PM and touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 1:47PM.
Insurance defeated Lobi Stars 1-0 in the first round and the team is aiming for another good result away from home on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the players and officials have expressed their sincere appreciation to the government and Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki for his untiring efforts and commitment to taking the state owned club to an enviable height.
The secretary of Bendel Insurance, Charles Ihimekpen, the SSA to the Governor on Sports Development, Sixtus Omokhagbor and team captain, Amas Obasogie were speaking as the team landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja after a smooth flight from Benin.
The SSA while speaking restated Governor Obaseki's commitment to the welfare and progress of Bendel Insurance as well as sports development in the state.
"The Governor always asks us about Bendel Insurance. He even asked us yesterday 'I hope you people still fly to far distances especially in northern part of the country. Ensure their welfare is infact and given top priority. They need encouragement," he said.
"Obasogie in his reaction said," just imagine if we were made to travel by road to Lafia and other long distances we have embarked on since last year. In just 42 minutes we are in Abuja. We know what some of our counterparts in the North and some other states in the south go through traveling by road for between twelve and twenty hours to honour NPFL matches. Kudos to our government, kudos to our governor for making life easy for us".
According to the secretary," We are lucky to have Governor Obaseki as our governor at this time. In those days we were known for night journeys especially when going to the north. We were traveling to far north including Maiduguri and Kano by road but now the story has changed. All we have to say is thank you to our governor and the government of our dear state, Edo.
