The newly inaugurated board of Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi has resolved to relocate the venue of its adopted home matches from Lafia to Bauchi, pending when Aper Aku stadium will be ready for use.
According to a statement issued by the club's Media Director, Uja Emmanuel, the decision is due to the numerous ongoing activities at Lafia City Stadium, including the Governor's Cup competition.

During the Board’s inaugural meeting, held on Friday, September 13, 2024, at the SEMA Office in Makurdi, members expressed their gratitude to His Excellency, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia, for appointing them to serve. They pledged to work diligently in line with the Governor’s sports development policies.
The handover from outgoing Chairman, Dominic Iorfa, was officially received, signaling a smooth leadership transition.
The board also committed to prioritising the welfare of players and officials, recognising the importance of their well-being for optimal performance.
In their quest to reposition Lobi Stars, the board emphasised collaboration with football stakeholders such as the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), the Supporters Club, the Referee Council, and the Coaches Association.
This, they believe, will bring a renewed sense of direction and success to the club.
