Niger Tornadoes gets N3m fine

Niger Tornadoes has been charged for breaching #NPFL24 Framework & Rules in the course of the Matchday 23 game vs Rangers.

Tornadoes failed to provide adequate and effective security resulting in unauthorised persons gaining access to restricted areas.
There was also encroachment onto the pitch by Tornadoes officials and unauthorised persons during the game against Rangers on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Niger Tornadoes is further charged for conducting themselves in a manner capable of bringing the game to disrepute.

A fine of N1 million is imposed on Tornadoes for failing to provide adequate security.

Tornadoes will pay another N1 million fine for encroachment onto the pitch during the match vs Rangers.

A further N1 million fine is slammed on the Minna club for general misconduct.

The club has 48 hours to appeal or accept the sanctions.
