The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has wielded the big stick on five centre referees and three assistant referees whose actions and decisions have been questionable in carrying out their assignments.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has wielded the big stick on five centre referees and three assistant referees whose actions and decisions have been questionable in carrying out their assignments.
According to a statement signed by Mohammed Ameenu, for the Chairman, NFF Refereeing Development Committee, the referees and the assistant referees are Michael Adepoju (FCT), Anthony Eze (FCT), Nurah Abdullahi (Zamfara), Michael Adepoju (FCT) and Ahmed M. Usman (NG).The rest are Peter Ogwu (BA), Aduba Ngbede (FCT) and Ekpouko Ubong (AK).
"In its decision to curb excesses of Refereeing officials in matches and protect/preserve the integrity of the game, the underlisted decisions sanctioning Referees and Assistant Referees whose actions and decisions are questionable have been carried out," the statement reads.
