Kaduna SWAN lauds Gov Sani, Nimrod, Adams on efforts to reposition sports in the state

The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kaduna State chapter, has lauded Governor Uba Sani for his unwavering dedication to sports development, evidenced by his initiative to establish renowned Neighborhood Sports Centers throughout Kaduna State and the acquisition of the historic Ahmadu Bello Stadium.

Arising from its congress during the week, the Kaduna SWAN also congress acknowledged and congratulated President of the Nigeria Volleyball Association, Engineer Musa Nimrod, for the successful organisation of the President Beach Volleyball Cup 2024 held at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna.

The association equally expressed its appreciation to Engineer Nimrod for his tireless efforts in advancing volleyball across Kaduna and the nation.

Additionally, the congress expressed gratitude to the chairman House Committee on Sports, Honourable Ekene Abubakar Adams, for his generous donation of N20 million to the state's NLO clubs and for fostering a collaborative relationship with SWAN members.

The congress, however, emphasised the importance of collaboration between sports stakeholders, corporate entities, philanthropic institutions, and individuals to further the cause of sports promotion and development in Kaduna State.

Meanwhile, the congress voiced concerns regarding the welfare and treatment of its members at sporting events and functions and lamented the treatment of its members at the Kaduna Polo event, which necessitated the association imposing restriction on members' attending the club's functions at until the the association's demands are addressed.
