Finidi quits Super Eagles
Embattled Super Eagles coach, Finidi George, has resigned from his job.
The former Enyimba International of Aba, according to a source close to him tendered his letter of resignation two hours ago (about 11:04am).
The coach, the source told www.sportsunlimited.ng that he's no longer comfortable with the working environment, especially with the hostile attitude of some of the "big" Super Eagles players.
The also complained of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of not giving him enough support against the players.
Early this week, Finidi was demoted by the NFF after a crisis board meeting with a resolution to appoint a foreign coach in the new few weeks to prosecute the AFCON qualifiers starting in September.
Although the NFF was silent on the new position of Finidi, bringing in a foreign coach would mean demotion.
