Edo ASELGON appoints Ilaboya as Interim Chairman

The Edo State Chapter of the Association of ex-Local Government Chairmen of Nigeria (ASELGON), has announced the appointment of  Hon Frank Ilaboya, the immediate past Executive Chairman of Owan West LGA, as Interim Chairman.

The announcement was contained in a release signed by the association's Interim Secretary, Hon Destiny Enabulele, former Chairman of Ovia South West Local Govt Area of Edo State.
Former Esan South East Chairman, Hon Peter Aguele was named the Director of Publicity.

This development followed a directive from ASELGON’s national body, instructing all states to activate and establish a functional state chapters of the association.

The decision was finalised during a retreat and award ceremony held in Lagos State from November 27 to 29, 2024.

“In light of this development, and on behalf of the interim executive committee, I wish to formally introduce the ASELGON Edo State Chapter.
"I appeal to all ex-council chairmen, regardless of political affiliation, to join this historic body for the collective progress and betterment of all,” Enabulele stated.

This initiative marks a significant step towards fostering unity and collaboration among former local government chairmen in Edo State.
