A leading football academy in Nigeria, Castmog Football Academy based in Abeokuta, Ogun State has attracted partnership from Germany and Oman.
The founder/CEO of the Academy which has a team competing in the championship division of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), Prince Adeniyi Adeyinka disclosed to Sporting Sun that his men's U-19 team will be traveling to Germany possibly in October for a playing tour.
"By the grace of God our little efforts are yielding fruits. We will be going on tour of Germany in October," begins Adeyinka who took his team to Egypt a couple of years ago.
He continued, "We have partners in Europe who are helping out in organizing and arranging these tours which includes friendlies and mini tournaments but we will be kickstarting with Germany.
"Once we tidy up the German leg of our tour hopefully it create openings for us to take a trip across Eastern Europe. We hope to spend four weeks in the first leg of these tours given the winter period which is very cold in most parts of Europe.
"We hope to continue the rest legs of our tours after we return to prepare for others. The period will give us ample opportunity to critically examine our achievements in Germany," he added.
According to Prince Adeyinka the whole idea is to expose his players and team to the European market. Few of his boys succeeded in securing contracts few years ago and that feat attracted this partnership with a major organization which he prefers to keep to his chest for now.
"We won't let the cat out of the bag yet. We pray our achievements and success speak for us. We are equally looking at breaking into Asia in no distance time and our focus is Saudi Pro-League but we have to start small using countries around that region as a springboard," he revealed.
"Things are positive for us as the future looks bright. But we will take things one step after the other. This is why I don't want to mention names or reveal our partners. Some of them are not able names who have contributed to the growth of Nigeria Football as ex-players."
