Anambra BSC coach laments heavy defeat to Kebbi Fishers

The second day of the 2024 Nigeria Beach Soccer League ( 2024 NSBL) Super 4 in Kaduna at the Murtala Square saw Nigeria and African number one team, Kebbi Fishers demolishing Anambra Beach Soccer team 5 - 0 to raise on top of the table with 6 points and 11 goals for with 2 against.

Speaking after their 5- 0 loss to the Nigeria and African number one, the chief coach of the Anambra team, Obinna Mwagba agreed that the kebbi Fishers team was a better team.

"Our heavy defeat is beyond my description. Maybe we got carried away by our victory against the 2022 champions, Kaduna Beach Team. We played like pregnant women, Kebbi Fishers were a better team, they were more determined while we were lacklusture in our approach.
"During the first round they beat us in Kebbi and we also defeated them in Anambra. So, I don't know see why we should loose like this today. Of course, they were more determined, they were more physical, they showed more purpose and were the better team, it is football," he said.

On the standard of this year's Super 4 League, Nwagba, who was a Personal Assistant to the late head coach of the National Beach Soccer team, Adamu Audu Ejo, said it is more competitive.
He added that the standard is high because after the first round, each team fortified with new players.

"The standard is very high and highly competitive. The tempo of the matches are very high. A lot of quality players in display, you know that the teams fortified their teams after the first round."

He advised the organisers to improve more on the the organisation.

"Things can always get better, the organisers should keep it up, we hope to see more improve organisation better than what we are seeing now, things can always get better."
