Katsina United chief coach, Azeez Mohammed has said that his target is the top three in the 2025/2026 season starting today.
Speaking with our reporter during the teams pre-season in Kaduna, he enthused confidence on what he believes will be the team's position at the end of the season.
"My target is to contest for a spot, at least end up in top three, by God's grace even though it's not going to be easy."
Talking about the team, he said "the mood in the camp is good. We are happy with the quality of the players on ground.
"Yes, we are able to blend them as much as we can and with the help of the old players on ground and the experience players that we added, the team will be better than last season."
He reminisced on how he joined Katsina United when they were in the 17th position in week 20 and finished 15th at the end of the season."It was a big gamble but God saw us through".
He praised the organisation of the league by the board of the NPFL, saying "even though we are not there yet, hopefully the league will continue to get better with the determination of the league board. After all Rome was not built in a day."
