... Risks non qualification, need playoff to qualify
Chelsea has dropped out of the Champions League top eight after defeat to Serie A side, Atalanta.
The Blues led in the first half through Joao Pedro, before Atalanta came from behind in the second half thanks to goals from Gianluca Scamacca and Charles De Ketelaere.
Enzo Maresca’s side sat in seventh heading into the game but will face having to go through the play-offs in order to progress to the knockout rounds unless they make their way back into the top eight positions.
The defeat also means Chelsea is without a win in the last four games, having also been beaten by Leeds and drawn with Bournemouth and Arsenal.
